Aftermarket & Motorsport Product Conditions
Aftermarket & Motorsport Product Conditions
Products sold by Drop It Motorsport may include aftermarket, performance, tuning and motorsport components designed to modify, improve or alter the original characteristics of a vehicle.
By purchasing these products, the customer acknowledges and accepts the following conditions.
1. Aftermarket Products
Unless expressly stated otherwise in the product description, products sold by Drop It Motorsport are aftermarket components and are not original OEM parts supplied by the vehicle manufacturer.
Aftermarket products may differ from the corresponding original components in design, dimensions, materials, construction, mounting method or intended use.
2. Fitment and Compatibility
Vehicle compatibility information is based primarily on technical data, application lists and information supplied by the product manufacturer or distributor.
While every effort is made to provide accurate compatibility information, differences may exist between vehicles depending on model year, production date, engine version, trim level, factory options, previous modifications or regional specifications.
The customer is therefore responsible for verifying that the product is suitable for the specific vehicle before installation.
Where necessary, Drop It Motorsport may request additional vehicle information such as VIN, registration details, photographs, measurements or component codes in order to assist with compatibility verification.
3. Modifications and Adaptations
Due to the nature of aftermarket and performance components, installation may require adjustments, modifications, adaptations or additional components compared with the original factory part.
This may include, depending on the product, minor trimming, drilling, repositioning, adjustment, modification of brackets or mounting points, use of additional hardware or other installation work.
Such requirements may exist even when they are not specifically mentioned in the manufacturer's product information.
The need for normal installation adjustments associated with an aftermarket component does not, by itself, necessarily indicate that the product is defective or incompatible.
4. Professional Installation
Performance and motorsport components should be installed by a qualified professional or specialist workshop familiar with aftermarket vehicle modifications.
Incorrect installation, incorrect adjustment or use outside the manufacturer's intended application may result in damage to the product, the vehicle or other components.
Drop It Motorsport cannot be responsible for problems caused by incorrect installation, improper use or modifications performed during installation.
5. Motorsport and Performance Use
Many products offered by Drop It Motorsport are developed for performance, tuning, motorsport, competition or track use.
Some components may alter the vehicle's original characteristics, including but not limited to performance, emissions, noise levels, suspension geometry, braking characteristics or structural configuration.
A product being technically compatible with a vehicle does not automatically mean that it is approved for public-road use.
6. Road Legality and Homologation
Vehicle regulations, homologation requirements and rules governing aftermarket modifications vary between countries and, in some cases, between regions.
Unless explicitly stated in the individual product description, Drop It Motorsport does not guarantee that a product is homologated, certified or legally approved for road use in the customer's country.
The customer is responsible for verifying before purchase and installation whether the selected product can legally be installed and used on public roads in the country where the vehicle is registered or operated.
Where a product is supplied with certifications such as ECE, TÜV, ABE or other approvals, this will be stated where information has been made available by the manufacturer. The existence of a certification does not necessarily mean that it is automatically valid in every country or for every vehicle configuration.
Products without specific road-use approval should be considered intended for motorsport, competition, track or off-road use where permitted by applicable law.
7. Modified Vehicles
Compatibility information generally refers to vehicles in their original or expected configuration.
If a vehicle has previously been modified — including suspension, brakes, wheels, engine, intake, exhaust, bodywork, drivetrain or other components — additional compatibility issues may arise.
Drop It Motorsport cannot guarantee compatibility with modifications that were not part of the vehicle's original configuration or that have not been communicated before purchase.
8. Product Images and Technical Information
Product photographs may be illustrative.
Minor differences in appearance, finish, hardware, packaging or construction may occur due to manufacturer updates or production revisions, provided that the supplied product remains technically equivalent to the product ordered.
Technical specifications and compatibility information may also be updated by manufacturers without prior notice.
9. Customer Responsibility
Before installation, the customer should check that:
The product received corresponds to the product ordered;
The application is suitable for the vehicle;
All required components are present;
There is no visible transport or manufacturing damage;
The installation and intended use comply with applicable local regulations.
If there is any doubt regarding compatibility or installation, the customer should contact Drop It Motorsport before installing or modifying the product.
10. Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in these conditions is intended to exclude or restrict any mandatory rights granted to consumers under applicable law, including statutory rights relating to defective or non-conforming goods.
These conditions are intended to clarify the specific characteristics and installation requirements normally associated with aftermarket, performance and motorsport products.
By completing an order and accepting these conditions, the customer confirms that they have read and understood the above information concerning aftermarket products, possible installation adaptations, motorsport use and road-legal/homologation requirements.
