Refund & Return Policy

This policy is intended to comply with applicable European Union consumer protection legislation and the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree No. 206/2005, as amended).

1. Right of Withdrawal for EU Consumers

If you are a consumer purchasing for purposes unrelated to your trade, business, craft or profession, you have the right to withdraw from your online purchase without giving any reason within 14 calendar days.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, physically receive the goods.

If an order contains multiple products delivered separately, the withdrawal period starts from the day on which the last product is received.

The statutory right of withdrawal described in this section applies to consumers. Purchases made for business or professional purposes are not covered by the statutory consumer right of withdrawal.

2. How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision before the 14-day withdrawal period expires.

You may contact us by email or use the online withdrawal function available through our website.

Your request should include:

  • your full name;

  • your order number;

  • the product(s) you wish to return;

  • a clear statement that you wish to withdraw from the purchase.

You do not need to provide a reason for exercising your statutory right of withdrawal.

When the online withdrawal function is used, we will send confirmation of receipt of your withdrawal request on a durable medium, such as email, without undue delay.

3. Returning the Goods

After informing us that you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days from the date on which you informed us of your withdrawal.

The return deadline is met if the goods are dispatched before the 14-day return period expires.

Unless otherwise agreed with us, return shipping costs are borne by the customer.

Before sending a return, please contact us and follow the return instructions provided.

Goods must not be sent to suppliers, manufacturers or any other address unless expressly authorised by Drop It Motorsport.

Unauthorised returns to third-party addresses may cause delays or prevent us from correctly identifying the return.

4. Condition of Returned Products

Customers may inspect a product in the same way as would normally be possible in a physical shop in order to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.

You are responsible for any reduction in the value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary for this purpose.

Products should therefore be returned, whenever reasonably possible:

  • complete with all components and accessories;

  • with manuals, documentation and supplied hardware;

  • in their original packaging;

  • adequately protected for transport;

  • without adhesive labels or shipping tape applied directly to the manufacturer's packaging.

The absence or deterioration of the original packaging does not automatically cancel the statutory right of withdrawal. However, where such damage or other handling causes an actual reduction in the value of the product, an appropriate deduction may be made from the refund in accordance with applicable law.

5. Installed, Used or Modified Products

Automotive and motorsport components should be carefully inspected for compatibility before installation.

Installation, use, modification, alteration, painting, drilling, cutting, welding, programming or other actions that go beyond what is necessary to inspect the product may result in a reduction of its value.

Where such handling has caused a loss in value, Drop It Motorsport reserves the right to reduce the refund by an amount corresponding to the actual diminished value of the goods, as permitted by applicable consumer law.

This provision does not limit any statutory rights relating to defective or non-conforming goods.

6. Products Excluded from the Right of Withdrawal

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply where an exemption provided by applicable law applies.

In particular, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that are:

  • made to the customer's individual specifications;

  • clearly personalised;

  • specifically manufactured or modified according to instructions or specifications provided by the customer;

  • otherwise excluded from withdrawal under applicable consumer legislation.

A product is not automatically excluded from the right of withdrawal merely because it is not normally held in stock or because Drop It Motorsport orders it from a supplier after receiving the customer's order.

Where a product is genuinely customised or manufactured according to the customer's specifications and therefore excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal, this will be indicated to the customer before the purchase whenever applicable.

7. Vehicle-Specific and Custom Products

Certain automotive products may be produced or configured according to information supplied by the customer, including, for example:

  • custom wheel offsets;

  • custom finishes or colours;

  • made-to-measure components;

  • individually configured suspension systems;

  • vehicle-specific products manufactured or modified according to customer-provided specifications;

  • products modified specifically at the customer's request.

Where such products qualify as goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised under applicable law, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply.

This does not affect the customer's rights if the product is defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied or does not conform to the agreed specifications.

8. Refunds

If you validly exercise your right of withdrawal, we will reimburse the payments received from you in relation to the returned goods, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered for the original order.

If you selected a more expensive delivery option than our standard delivery method, the additional shipping cost is not refundable.

Refunds will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are informed of your decision to withdraw.

However, we may withhold the refund until:

  • we have received the returned goods; or

  • you provide satisfactory evidence that the goods have been dispatched back to us,

whichever occurs first.

The refund will normally be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless a different method has been expressly agreed with you.

You will not be charged any fee as a result of the refund.

9. Partial Returns

Where an order contains multiple separate products, you may exercise your right of withdrawal only in relation to one or more eligible products without necessarily returning the entire order.

However, a product sold as a complete kit or set must be returned complete. Individual components of a kit cannot be treated as separate products unless they were sold separately.

10. Return Shipping and Transport Risk

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or agreed by Drop It Motorsport, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning goods following a change-of-mind withdrawal.

We strongly recommend using a tracked and adequately insured shipping service and packaging the goods appropriately.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the returned goods are adequately packaged against damage during transport.

This section does not apply where goods are being returned because they are defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise non-conforming and applicable consumer law requires the seller to bear the relevant costs.

11. Damaged, Incorrect or Defective Products

The statutory right of withdrawal is separate from your rights relating to defective or non-conforming goods.

If you receive:

  • an incorrect product;

  • a product damaged before or during delivery;

  • a product with missing components; or

  • a product that appears defective or non-conforming,

please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide your order number together with photographs or other useful information where appropriate.

Do not install, modify or continue using a product that appears defective or incorrect if doing so could cause additional damage or create a safety risk.

We will assess the issue and provide instructions regarding the appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Where applicable, remedies may include repair, replacement, price reduction or termination of the contract.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes the consumer's mandatory legal rights.

12. Legal Guarantee for Consumers

Consumer goods sold to EU consumers are covered by the applicable statutory legal guarantee of conformity.

Under Italian consumer law, the seller is generally responsible for conformity defects that become apparent within two years from delivery, subject to the conditions and remedies provided by law.

The legal guarantee is separate from any commercial warranty offered by the manufacturer.

Any manufacturer warranty is additional to, and does not replace or limit, the customer's statutory rights against the seller.

13. Business and Professional Purchases

Purchases made by companies, professionals or customers acting for purposes related to their commercial, entrepreneurial, craft or professional activity are not covered by the statutory consumer right of withdrawal.

Any return of a business purchase for reasons other than defects, incorrect supply or contractual non-conformity is subject to prior written authorisation by Drop It Motorsport.

Authorisation of a commercial return is discretionary and may be subject to specific return conditions agreed with the customer.

Mandatory rights applicable to business customers under applicable law remain unaffected.

14. Orders Cancelled Before Shipment

If you wish to cancel an order before it has been shipped, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where cancellation is legally possible and the order has not yet entered an irreversible custom manufacturing or personalisation process, we will attempt to stop fulfilment.

If the goods have already been shipped, the statutory withdrawal procedure described above will apply where applicable.

For genuinely customised or personalised goods excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal, cancellation may no longer be possible once production or customisation has begun.

15. Refunds for Promotional or Discounted Orders

Products purchased during promotions or using discount codes remain subject to the same statutory consumer rights.

Where a partial order is returned, any refund will be calculated on the basis of the amount actually paid for the returned product after applying any applicable discount.

If the discount depended on a minimum order value or quantity and a partial return means that the remaining order would no longer have qualified for that promotion, the refund may be recalculated where permitted by applicable law and by the terms of the relevant promotion.

16. Free Shipping Promotions

Where the original order qualified for free standard shipping, no standard outbound shipping amount will be deducted from a statutory withdrawal refund solely because the customer exercises the right of withdrawal.

The direct cost of returning the goods remains the customer's responsibility unless otherwise stated in this policy or required by law.
